EISB’s Adam Valach (Y11) showing hockey promise in Canada
EISB’s Y11 holds an empty chair for one of its own this year, Adam Valach. Adam came to EISB in 2020 as a hockey prodigy from Canada, competing with the local hockey club HK Ruzinov.
This past spring, Adam was invited to try out for the NAX Hockey Academy and the Grande Prairie Storm junior team, both of which are quite accomplishment for the 16-year old. However, after arriving back in Canada, the government shut everything down due to COVID. Fortunately, his invitation is still open to join Grand Prairie later.
In the meantime, Adam is competing with the U18 AAA Edmonton Maple Leafs playing Left and Right Wings, which is the highest league for his age, quite an accomplishment in itself
Adam enjoyed his time at EISB, “I wouldn’t hesitate to come back.” He also shared that the school and teaching staff helped him gain a step closer to his dreams,
