Boxing and our stars

A fine Saturday afternoon with sun shining and relaxed vibe but some students of our school decided to test their limits in the boxing ring.

It was MYP3 that organized a full fledged boxing events for students to participate.  There was not one, or two but three matches and our students exhibited some amazing skills in the contest.  Posters were out a week before highlighting the contests and in the background students were busy preparing for matches and the event itself.

First up was a match between Robo (MYP1) and Mark (MYP1).  After an fantastic match up and , Robo managed to be victorious.  This was his second win after KFA 01 triumph.  Amazing show to talent and great work to both the participants.

Next up was a match between Riso (MYP3) and Pato (Timo’s(MYP3) younger brother).  The match was really a close contest and both the boxers showed an impressive skill with the gloves.  It kept the audience glued to their seats with the balance swinging to and fro by the minute.  Pato came out on top at the end with a Split Decision win.  Kudos to Riso and Pato for this excellent game.

Last and the sort of heavyweight(only from amongst the participants) event was between Timo (MYP3) and Erik.  Erik is 16yr old boxer who was 03rd in Czech competition and an experience of more than 26 fights.  After a long fight Timo managed to beat Erik, despite Erik being 2yrs older and with all the experience under his belt.  The fight was  nail biting and the balance kept swinging from one side to the other.

So people, a new event is coming up soon, look out for the posters around the school for the upcoming round.
