Student’s inspirational Hispanic cuisine creations
Latin American cuisine is fabulously fresh, flavorful and a bit spicy. Y7 Spanish students got inspired by las Pupusas, el Gallo Pinto and las Arepas and Tamales. Ever heard about them?
Pupusas are a traditional Salvadoran masa cake, made with a variety of fillings including, but not limited to, cheese, re-fried beans, zucchini and pork.
The children would enjoy forming the pupusas in their hands. Their enthusiasm and determination to try new things is wonderful to witness.
As soon as possible, we will dive into it immediately.
Tamales
There are many kinds of tamales. Some are wrapped in fresh corn leaves, banana leaves, or avocado leaves. Most tamales have fillings of meat, cheese, or beans, but some have no fillings at all.
Have fun reading their little cuisine stories. 🙂
