EISB Spirit Week & Homecoming 2026 – A Week of School Spirit. A Celebration of Community. A New EISB Tradition.

Spread the love

October 19–23, 2026

Something special is happening at EISB next week!

Five days of school spirit, creativity, friendly competition, Halloween celebrations, and a Friday night event bringing our entire community together.

For some of our families, Spirit Week and Homecoming are familiar traditions. For others, they may be entirely new. So, what’s it all about?

What Is Homecoming?

Homecoming is a tradition that originated in American schools and universities as an opportunity to welcome former students back to their school community.

Over time, it became something bigger: a celebration of school identity, friendships, traditions, and the people who make a school special.

And that’s exactly what we want to create at EISB.

Our Homecoming is about bringing people together. current students and families, former students, alumni, teachers, former staff, friends, and neighbors.

It’s also an invitation to those who haven’t yet experienced EISB to come and discover the community we’re building.

The football game under the Friday night lights gives us a reason to gather. The community is what makes it Homecoming.

And this year, we’re starting a new tradition!

What Is Spirit Week?

Spirit Week is the buildup to Homecoming.

It’s a week when the normal school routine gets a little more colorful, creative, and occasionally ridiculous—in the best possible way!

Students and staff participate in themed days, activities, friendly competitions, and celebrations that build school spirit and bring people together.

It’s not about which class has the best costumes or who cheers the loudest. It’s about participating, having fun, and feeling part of something bigger than ourselves.

And yes, a little friendly competition is encouraged!

Friday Night Lights Comes to Bratislava — EISB Homecoming 2026

More Than a Game. More Than a Week.

At EISB, education is about much more than what happens in a classroom.

It’s about experiences, relationships, challenges, discovering new interests, and developing a sense of belonging.

Spirit Week gives our students opportunities to express themselves, participate, collaborate, and celebrate their school.

Homecoming extends that spirit beyond our classrooms and school gates.

And as an international school, we have the opportunity to take traditions from different cultures, make them our own, and create something that reflects who we are.

We hope that, years from now, our students will remember these weeks—not just the games, costumes, and celebrations, but the people they shared them with.

Whether you’ve been part of EISB for years, have just joined us, or are simply curious about our school, you’re invited to be part of it.

Let’s make our first Homecoming something worth coming home to.

GO EISB!
