Cafeteria pledge

During assembly today, students came up with different ideas about how to demonstrate common courtesy in a public space such as a cafeteria. Their ideas were duly noted on a big piece of poster paper, which they, and teachers, signed in the form of a pledge. This pledge will remain in the cafeteria in order to remind everyone of this mutual agreement to try our best to show respect, kindness and consideration towards others, even in situations where it may not be required or expected.

We ask you to join us at home in reinforcing common courtesy standards, since this can help the social interaction of your children at school, aiding them in improving relationships, communication and overall well-being.

When I was 8 years old one of my favorite things to do was to visit the market with my grandmother and eat a warm garlicky langoš. Little did I know at that time that it would be another 32 years until I would be at the same place, reminiscing about the beautiful memories of my grandmother while eating this delicacy. I call it the langoš 360. A 360 turn of living, studying and teaching around the world.
