Cross Country is here !
“We can’t add more days to our lives, but we can add more life to our days.”
And I think sport is one of the best ways to do exactly that.
Sport gives us a chance to step outside our comfort zone, challenge ourselves, discover what we are capable of, and sometimes even surprise ourselves.
So why not start with something as simple as running?
When I first heard that I would be in charge of Cross Country, I thought to myself, “Okay… now let’s be serious.”
How could I, as a new teacher at EISB, in my very first week, encourage students to join me and my colleague, Ms. Karolina Bremont, and prepare for several running competitions?
Then I thought — wouldn’t it be better to simply be honest?
Yes, running is difficult. Yes, stepping outside your comfort zone is difficult. And yes, pushing your limits can be challenging.
But giving it a try isn’t difficult.
You don’t have to be the fastest. You don’t have to be experienced. You don’t even have to know how far you can go yet.
Our Cross Country sessions are about building endurance, learning how to run smarter, preparing for competitions, and becoming stronger — both physically and mentally.
But they are also about something bigger: discovering what you are capable of.
Maybe running will help you clear your mind. Maybe it will build your confidence. Maybe you will discover a potential you didn’t know you had. Or maybe you will simply find a new passion.
So whether you are a complete beginner or already love running, show up, give it a try, and see where it takes you.
Because sometimes, it’s not about how fast you run or how far you go.
It’s about discovering a stronger version of yourself along the way.

Take the first step !
