Year 2 Explores Creativity at Haus der Musik

Today marked the perfect ending to our Year 2 unit on how we express ourselves! Our trip to the Haus der Musik in Vienna was a wonderful way to celebrate everything we’ve learned.

Throughout the unit, we explored how to express our ideas and feelings through art, and the museum gave the children a new way to see self-expression through music. From experimenting with sounds, creating their own melodies, to conducting a virtual orchestra, the children discovered that expression isn’t limited to paintbrushes and pencils – it can also be found in rhythm, tone, and movement.

This trip brought our learning full circle, showing the children that expressing ourselves is all about creativity, confidence, and sharing our ideas with others. We are so proud of how engaged, curious, and imaginative everyone has been. What a fantastic way to end our unit! 🎨🎶✨
