💕 Exploring Our Feelings in Grade 2-B!

This week in Grade 2- B, we took a deep dive into the wonderful world of feelings! 🌈

We started by learning how to name our emotions = happy, sad, scared, excited, and so many more! Soon, curious minds began to wonder:
💭 “What makes us feel that way?”

To explore, we tried a fun activity called Chalk Talk. Around the room, we placed big sheets of paper with different feeling words. Then, our little thinkers moved around, drawing pictures and writing their ideas right on the paper. Some chose to express through art, while others shared their thoughts in words and the classroom quickly filled with laughter, colour, and great conversations! 🎨🖍️

It was amazing to see how our students connected with each other’s ideas, shared their own stories, and showed such empathy and understanding. ❤️

Through this simple yet meaningful activity, we practised so many skills:
✨ Creative expression through art and writing
✨ Thinking deeply about emotions
✨ Showing empathy and perspective-taking

All of this is part of our “Healthy Choices” unit, where we’re learning that understanding our feelings  and others’  helps us make kinder, healthier choices every day.

Our classroom truly buzzed with feelings this week  and we loved every minute of it! 💫
