Celebrating Roxy’s K. Talent in Irish Dance

At our school, we take pride in highlighting the achievements of our students both inside and outside the classroom. Today, we are thrilled to share Roxy’s incredible journey in the world of Irish dance.

Irish dance is a traditional art form characterized by rapid foot movements and a unique posture, with the upper body remaining mostly still. It requires discipline, precision, and a high level of physical fitness, making it as demanding as it is beautiful.

Recently, Roxy competed in the prestigious European Irish Dance Championship, participating in various events across different countries on the continent. Through her hard work, dedication, and exceptional talent, she won several medals, including one at the final event held in Romania just a few weeks ago.

Upon returning to school, Roxy shared her experiences with her classmates, reflecting on the challenges she overcame and the values she has gained through her practice of Irish dance. She spoke about the importance of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance, inspiring everyone with her story.

We congratulate Roxy on her remarkable success and thank her for sharing her journey and lessons with the school community. Her dedication and achievements are a testament to how passion and hard work can lead to extraordinary opportunities.

Congratulations, Roxy, for representing our school so brilliantly and for being an inspiration to us all!

Francisco José Martínez Navarro

Hi everyone! I am Francisco Martinez. I was born in a village called Corral de Almaguer, Spain (probably the place which Cervantes mentioned at the beginning of his famous book “El Quijote”). I grew up surrounded by my family and friends, always with a football on my feet. I graduated with a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Cognitive Neuroscience. On top of that, I studied Postgraduate to teach Spanish as a Foreign Language. At EISB, I hold the roles of Physical Education and Spanish Teacher, as well as Foreign Languages Coordinator. I have lived in Madrid (Spain), Chicago (USA), Dublin (Ireland) and, currently, Bratislava (Slovakia). I love reading about History, my favorite band is Coldplay and one dream to come true is to live in Finland.
