Exploring Bratislava Castle: Year 5

This week, our year 5 students had the incredible opportunity to visit Bratislava Castle, and it was an experience filled with learning and fun!

The day began with a guided tour of the castle, where the kids were engaged and eager to soak up the fascinating history of both the castle and Slovakia. They explored the stunning grounds, and some of their favorite moments included wandering through the beautiful gardens, which offered a perfect backdrop for group photos and a chance to enjoy the fresh air.

This trip was not just about exploring; it was also a stepping stone for our ongoing project where students are tasked with designing their own castles. They are learning about the various features that make a castle safe and secure, and this real-world application of their knowledge has sparked their creativity and excitement.

Overall, the trip to Bratislava Castle was a wonderful blend of education and enjoyment, allowing students to build connections with each other while deepening their understanding of history. We look forward to seeing how they incorporate their experiences into their castle designs!
