External PE: Golf

Kids playing golf can be a fun and rewarding activity. Golf is a sport that not only promotes physical activity but also teaches valuable life skills such as patience, concentration, and sportsmanship.

Last two years at the end of the academic year we have included also golf into External PE sessions for upper primary. Years 4, 5, and 6 went to a lovely 18-hole championship golf course on Tuesdays afternoons. Golf club Welten in Báč is nearby the town of  Šamorín and the bus ride from Bratislava Ruzinov takes 25 mins. Last year we were lucky with a great weather every session. The kids were divided into 3 groups and the groups took turns at different golf courses with a professional golf instructors. And I could watch and play with my dog a bit as I am not patient enough to play golf;-)

Remember that the primary focus for kids playing golf should be on having fun, learning new skills, and fostering a love for the game!
