On October 17th, Year 3, MYP 7, and MYP 8 travelled to visit the Roman Ruins in Carnuntum Museum in Petronell-Carnuntum, Austria. The educational trip fit well with the Year 3 current course work studying ancient civilizations and their buildings.
Carnuntum Museum in Petronell-Carnuntum, Austria contains Roman excavations and rebuilt site of a Roman town and Legionary Fortress. The children learned about the daily life of the Romans there and how they heated their floors, used community toilets, cleaned themselves in the bath house, and built roads and sewers.
It was amazing history in our own backyard! |
