Fables and Wisdom: Our Latest School Project with Year 4

Spread the love

During our latest project in Slovak lessons, we focused on stories with a moral lesson. We discovered some of the most famous and oldest fabulists of all time—including the father of fables, Aesop, as well as Jean de La Fontaine and Ivan Krylov—and compared their works. They all had one thing in common: their stories carried a moral message, and animals took the place of human characters. After exploring these well-known fables, we dived into writing our very own!

Our students presented their final projects through an interactive discussion for other Primary students. The young authors—Roxy, Linda, Natali, Peťko, and Nino—read their stories aloud and shared their original illustrations. After reading, they were more than happy to answer any questions from the audience.

The entire event gave them a unique sense of achievement, responsibility, and community. We would like to thank everyone who participated!
