EISB Year 6 talks Space at the United Nations
EISB’s Year 6 students joined secondary physics students from Austria at a presentation by the United Nations Office of Outer Space Affairs in at the UN Center in Vienna.
The presentation discussed space law, the responsibilities of the office, exercises in space communication, a Q&A for students from all schools and completed with a tour of the UN’s space exhibition displaying such items as the Moon rover, original GPS satellites, and even a mock up of the future Chinese Space Station scheduled for 2022.
This event is scheduled as part of preparation for Year 6’s own Space Expo which till take place at EISB on 24 Oct from 14.00-15.00 in the school canteen.
