Learning, Laughter & Play: Our Year 3 Open House..
Ready, Set, Play! A Year 3 Open House Adventure..
What a beautiful day it was! Our Year 3 classroom was buzzing with excitement, laughter, friendly challenges, and smiling faces as we welcomed our parents for our Open House, “Come and Play with Us!”
From the moment our families walked into the classroom, the fun began! Parents jumped into the games, took on challenges, cheered each other on, and enjoyed playing alongside our young learners. There was plenty of laughter, a little friendly competition, and so many wonderful moments to share.
🎯 Five Stations, So Much Fun!
Our classroom transformed into a lively play zone with five exciting stations, where parents got to experience the games and challenges our students had been preparing.
From the Human Slot Machine and Ping-Pong Ball Challenge to basketball, passing the ball along a path, Games On, the Cup Tower Challenge, and the Blindfold Challenge, every activity brought something different. Parents enthusiastically gave each challenge a try, while our students stepped into the role of game hosts—explaining the rules, demonstrating how to play, answering questions, and helping everyone join in.
It was wonderful to see our parents enjoying themselves just as much as the children! The classroom was full of teamwork, coordination, encouragement, and collaboration. Everyone had a part to play, and every contribution helped make the experience special.
💡 From Planning to Playing
Behind all the fun was a lot of hard work! Our students brainstormed ideas, explored possibilities, practiced their research skills, and tested different games through trial and error. They learned that ideas sometimes need to be changed, rules need to be adjusted, and teamwork makes a big difference.
During the Open House, they had the chance to showcase what they had learned, share their creations with a real audience, and take pride in everything they had worked toward. Watching them confidently explain their games and guide their parents through the activities was a wonderful moment for us all.
The day was also a lovely reminder of how much students can learn by doing. They practiced communication, problem-solving, cooperation, and responsibility in a real-life setting—all while having fun!
❤️ A Big Thank-You!
A heartfelt thank-you to all our parents and family members who joined us and made the day so memorable. Your enthusiasm, participation, and encouragement meant so much to our young learners. Thank you for being such wonderful players and for celebrating their hard work with us!
And, of course, a huge well done to our Year 3 students! We are so proud of your creativity, teamwork, and commitment. You turned your ideas into games, welcomed your visitors with enthusiasm, and showed us what can happen when we learn and work together.
Five stations, countless smiles, and a classroom full of happy memories!
