EISB Takes Part in Pilot Student Exchange Program with CEFMS, a School in Valencia (Spain)
The student exchange program between EISB and CEFMS (Centro Educativo Fasta Madre Sacramento) has provided an incredible opportunity for cultural and academic growth among our students. This collaboration was made possible through the ERASMUS Plus program, which supports international educational exchanges and partnerships, helping to create lasting connections and enhance the learning experiences of all involved. The primary aim of this exchange is to offer students the chance to collaborate, develop intercultural understanding, and cultivate important skills such as communication, empathy, and respect for diversity.
The program allows students to immerse themselves in a different educational system, gain fresh perspectives, and grow both academically and personally. Through this experience, students not only learn about the culture, customs, and traditions of another country but also have the chance to share their own unique heritage, fostering mutual respect and understanding.
Goals of the Program
- Promote Intercultural Learning: Students experience life in another country, deepening their understanding of its culture, customs, and traditions.
- Develop Social Skills: The program encourages students to adapt, communicate effectively, and solve problems in an international setting.
- Enhance Language Learning: Students have the opportunity to practice and refine their language skills in real-life situations, helping them become more confident in their communication.
- Strengthen Collaboration: This exchange builds lasting relationships between EISB and CEFMS, benefiting both school communities and promoting a sense of global citizenship among students.
We are proud to announce the successful completion of the first edition of the program. Two Spanish students and two Slovak students participated, and the experience was a resounding success. Both students and their families were thrilled with the opportunity to practice a new language, explore a different country, and experience cultural differences, along with the occasional cultural shocks that come with living in a new environment. The exchange took place from 7–14 March 2025 for the Spanish students and from 21–28 March 2025 for the Slovak students, with each group spending one week in the other country. This initiative has proven to be highly enriching for all participants, and we are excited with the outcomes. At EISB, we are eager to continue building on this success and look forward to future editions of the program in the coming school years. We are committed to promoting cross-cultural learning, enhancing the educational experience, and strengthening the ties of collaboration with CEFMS, enabling our students to grow, learn, and connect on a global scale.
