MYP5/Gr10 Clay

The students of MYP5/Gr10 had an opportunity to learn how to work with the pottery wheel during the sculpture/pottery unit. Each student first made a clay tile, then a portrait, and then a jar, that had to have distinct features, such as a handle, or even a face! The students agree that glazing was the most difficult part, but can be the most rewarding, when done right. Some of our pottery even sold during our school events. All jars that the students made are safe to be drank and eaten from, as the glazes we get are lead free.
