Museum Months
Museums are a great places to explore different cultures, places and different ways of thinking. Our primary museum also aims to make students feel included and an important part of their community. Students were able to decide whether to participate and with what items. In this way they take ownership of their work and pride themselves more in knowing that their thoughts, their work – THEY,Β can and are important enough to be featured in the hallways of their school. This independence in decision making aims to foster their risk taking skills as well as their ability to see that they can and do have agency in their community.
The exhibitions will be featured throughout the months of January and February with small participant prizes. Soon, the exhibition will be open to the public and you as parents can come and admire the confidence of your child in having a piece of their creative self on display. Thanks to all the teachers who have brought items from their homes that enrich our learning experience
