Year 6 explores the Slovak National Uprising

Year 6 took a trip to Muzeum SNP in Banska Bystrica recently, to dig further into their studies of WW2 and it’s impact locally, namely the Slovak National Uprising .

The students were given an informative tour in English by the Guide, who was impressed with how much the students understood about the war.

Soviet vs German Chess. Can you guess why Germans are white?

The tour culminated with the Museum’s newest exhibition, an interactive experience of WW2 placing visitors in the middle of various parts of battles to gain first-hand feeling of what it was like to fight. Highly recommended.
