Cozy reading club
I have been thinking for a long time about how, as a Slovak language teacher, I could help children develop a genuine love for reading—especially in today’s world full of distractions and instant entertainment. Simply telling them that reading is important isn’t enough; they need to feel it. That’s why this year, I decided to start the Cozy Reading Club—a space where reading meets a warm, relaxing atmosphere. Every Tuesday afternoon, our classroom transforms into a cozy little nook: we have comfy beanbags, a cup of tea, and a good book in our hands. The children are discovering that reading doesn’t have to be a school task, but rather a peaceful moment for themselves—a quiet escape into another world. That’s what our Tuesdays look like—calm, tea-scented, and filled with stories.
