It’s that time of year again—AP exam season is officially underway! Whether you’re walking into your first AP test or you’re a seasoned senior tackling multiple exams, it’s normal to feel a mix of excitement, nerves, and maybe a touch of panic. But don’t worry—there’s still time to sharpen your focus and make sure you’re walking in confident and prepared. Here are some last-minute tips to help you power through AP week like a pro.

1. Focus on High-Yield Content
You don’t need to review everything. Instead, prioritize the topics that are most frequently tested. Skim through your course outline, review guides, or past exams to identify key themes, vocabulary, and concepts. Target your review sessions on these “high-yield” areas—this gives you the best return on your time and energy.

2. Practice with Purpose
At this point, practice is better than passive review. Work through a few multiple-choice questions or free-response prompts under timed conditions. Not only does this reinforce content, but it also helps you build stamina and manage time effectively. Review why you got questions wrong to avoid making the same mistakes on test day.

3. Use Flashcards Strategically
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, flashcards can be your best friend. They’re especially effective for memorizing vocabulary, formulas, or historical facts. Focus on the terms you still struggle with, and don’t waste too much time reviewing what you already know.
