Mykhailo Kotsiuba graduated from EISB this year

Usually, our school graduates are students who have completed 13 grades. But there is an exception to this general rule.
This school year, 11th grade student Mykhailo successfully passed the state final exams in Ukrainian language, Ukrainian history, mathematics, English and received a Certificate of Completion of Secondary School. Now the young man is preparing for the entrance exams to the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Prague.
Mykhailo is an interesting person. He is quiet, calm, rarely participates in general discussions in the classroom, polite and well-mannered, with a rich inner world and a kind heart. Sometimes he stayed in the classroom after school or dropped in during breaks to talk, share his ideas, dreams, drawings (he draws well), ask for advice and just ask how things are.
Mykhailo comes from a family of hereditary doctors. He told me about his grandfather, Maksym Anatolyevich Kosyuk, the head physician of the Червоний Хутiр hospital, about his acquaintance with medicine in early childhood, about the wonderful anatomical atlases that he leafed through many times, examining the unique structure of the human body.
This summer, after passing his exams, Mykhailo had a wonderful opportunity to attend surgeries at his grandfather’s hospital. I asked the student to share his impressions of what he saw.
“I really enjoyed being there, feeling responsible for human life and being proud of the professionalism of my grandfather and other doctors. I definitely realized that I want to study further and become a professional surgeon.”

May everything work out for Mykhailo and his dream come true.

We are keeping our fingers crossed for you, EISB graduate.
