Year 11th Students – Parents Winter Concert

On December 12, the Winter Concert was held, in which Year 11th students and parents took part. For six weeks, every morning we met with the students in the gym and learned three new dances. At first, the students’ legs did not obey them, they did not want to remember new movements, but day after day their confidence grew.

The parents also received homework, to learn a flash mob, and Ms. Dagmar, Ms. Diana, Ms. Jana and Ms. Klara – a short  skit.

About 70 people took part in the concert. The hall was full. The hosts of the concert were Alexandra and Jake. They confidently, emotionally, with a smile on their faces, successfully coped with their debut.

The concert began with each student introducing themselves and their family members.

Then Veronika, Randy and Adam showed a short skit about winter in Bratislava.

The boys, led by Anastasia, performed the Santa Claus dance. Here. The girls performed a reindeer dance. Here.

After which they joined together in an emotional cha-cha-cha. Group 1. Group 2.

While the students were dancing, the parents held an online meeting with the principal.  Suddenly, one of the parents fell asleep and had an unusual dream. Rado, Sviatoslav, Dima, and Imre showed the near future in a humorous skit. Here.

The parents’ next performance was a flash mob, which they performed superbly! Here.

The parents’ orchestra, led by Mr. Jaymes, performed an original musical composition. Here.

Then Alexandra and Jake invited everyone present to decorate the New Year’s tree and write letters to Santa Claus. Here.

When all the letters were written, we all performed a Belgian dance around the New Year’s tree. Here. Here.

The evening ended with a group photo shoot.

I am grateful to our parents, our students, and everyone present for the wonderful time spent together.

By combining our desires, initiatives, and efforts, we managed to make a real holiday that will remain in everyone’s memory as a bright, warm event.
