Year 4 Adventures by the Danube

With the sunshine out and the skies clear, Year 4 set off on a spontaneous adventure to the Danube riverfront—and what a day it was! Taking full advantage of the beautiful weather, we explored a park along the river where students could play freely, relax in the shade, and enjoy some well-earned snacks followed by a cool, delicious ice cream treat.

The journey itself was part of the fun! We travelled together by public transport, including a scenic tram ride over the Danube River. Along the way, students practiced important life skills such as crossing streets safely, navigating public transit, and sharing space with others. These moments of independence and responsibility were just as valuable as the fun waiting for us at the park.

Once we arrived, the park quickly became a hub of laughter and joy. Students climbed, ran, rested, and played games together, taking turns and including one another with kindness and care. And yes—though we usually keep both feet on the ground, we couldn’t resist climbing a big, beautiful tree to snap a playful class photo (a little mischief makes a memory, after all!).

The Danube trip reminded us how powerful a simple day outdoors can be—connecting with nature, building friendships, and making memories together.
