At EISB, learning goes beyond the classroom. We proudly support young entrepreneurs and encourage students to think outside the box, transforming innovative ideas into real projects.

This time, Luke decided to revolutionize the school delicacies market with a creative concept called the โ€œDoughnanaโ€, a unique combination of a healthy vegetarian banana doughnut and banana bread in donut form.

As part of his marketing strategy, Luke successfully promoted his product around the school, even getting Mr. Regualos to enjoy a Doughnana himself.

In a short interview, Luke told us that:

The Inspiration: The idea for Doughnana came from pure experimentation rather than a business plan. While baking banana bread for his family, he decided to pour the batter into an old donut mold, which became the foundation of his product.

The Product: Doughnana is a handmade, soft, and slightly chewy banana bread in the convenient shape of a donut. The name itself is a direct blend of “doughnut” and “banana.”

Development & Challenges: He originally created a sugar-free version for his brother. Over time, he refined the recipe through trial and error. Balancing the time-consuming baking process with long school days was his biggest challenge, but practice made the workflow much more efficient.

Success & Unique Appeal: The product stands out because it combines familiar comfort food with a portable shape. Customer feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, highlighted by one student calling it the best donut and cake he had ever eaten.

Future Growth: He has already launched an official website for the Bratislava market. Moving forward, he plans to expand the business, hire employees, and reinvest in its long-term development.

To make ordering even easier, Luke also created Doughnanaโ€™s official website, where clients can conveniently place their orders online.

Projects like this show how our students continue to innovate, create, and inspire the community with their entrepreneurial spirit.
