Year in Review: Recycling Paper

Students from Year 2 and Year 5 at EISB participated in a fun, interactive workshop provided by OLO this spring at their second-hand shop in Ruzinov. As both classes were learning about conservation and ways to protect the environment as part of their units during this time period, it was a perfect fit for a field trip for both classes.

Students were encouraged to bring an empty milk carton which they worked together to recycle into usable paper after an entertaining and thorough presentation about the process of paper recycling. This hands-on activity, coupled with the visual explanation of exactly how recycling works here in Bratislava, gave our students a first-hand understanding of how the process works from start to finish and why it is important.
