Year in Review: A Squawking Good Time

The fitness room at EISB was invaded by some feathered, friendly (but sometimes loud) visitors on Wednesday, February 28, as we welcomed the Arakovo Exotic Bird Presentation to our school. Students from Primary got the chance to meet several species of exotic birds, as well as learned a little about the diets, habits, personalities and life expectancy of each of the different birds.

After a 15-20 minute presentation, students were allowed to get up close and personal with the birds as they were able to pet, hold and feed them. And, of course, there were lots of pictures.  While some of the students were hesitant at first given the large size of some of the birds, by the end of the event, almost everyone had gotten comfortable with their newfound friends.
