The German speech flowed like a song
There are many talented teachers in our school. Among them is Ms. Michaela. Yesterday, by chance, I became a participant in a German lesson in 8th grade. For the second time this semester, I accidentally witnessed the skill of this teacher. Two months ago it was a lesson with high school students. The teacher organized this lesson in the form of personal presentations by students. They prepared colorful, informational posters about the culture and traditions of Austria, and then, as professional tour guides, interestingly told everyone who was in the school hall-way at that time about the cultural traditions of the inhabitants of this country. The German speech flowed like a song.
The teacher organized yesterday’s lesson in the form of children’s creative mini performances. The week before, students were given the task in pairs to present 4 dialogues in a non-traditional form. The guys’ performances pleasantly surprised me. Adam and Norbert performed first.
They confidently, without a shadow of embarrassment, with humor demonstrated their creative abilities and knowledge of the language. Then there were Richard and Alex, Timo and Martin, Richard M. and Timo.
The performance of each pair was imaginative and bright. The children used an incredible variety of facial expressions, gestures, voice intonations and a rich vocabulary. This allowed them to make the performance unforgettable both for us and for the students themselves.
I once again felt proud of our students. Ms. Michaela has found a way to discover and support children’s talents, making learning a foreign language interesting, positive, and stress-free. New stars have appeared on the horizon of our school.
