Academy Exhibition – What We Have Been Up To With EAL Learners

Students had been enthusiastic about creating visual displays for our usual Academy Exhibition from English as an Additional Language. They were to showcase their knowledge and interests about the already learned material, hand-picked by them to their liking. In this programme, we aim to create a mutually relaxed atmosphere and incorporate colourful, fun elements, such as pictures, songs, poems, articles, quizzes, movie clips and many more into our learning experience. Students are also expected to do their own research projects on occasions; they can chose a topic that sparked their interest previously, they are passionate or already knowledgeable about and share information and findings with their peers in class.

If you missed the exhibition, have a look at the beautifully created displays by MYP 1, 2 and 3 students. We had fun creating them and I am proud of their thorough work. We even had some Christmas music on while working, per request, as it is never too early to get into festive mood 🙂
