Saving Lives: EISB Students Learn First Aid Training

On October 23, 2023, the International School EISB took a significant stride towards enhancing the safety and well-being of its students through a First Aid training session for children. This event was a big step for EISB in making sure we’re ready for emergencies.

Our students have acquired critical skills to navigate challenging situations. CPR, in particular, can be a lifesaver. Furthermore, the kids have learned to recognize potentially risky situations and follow expert-recommended protocols. They also had the valuable opportunity to practice under the attentive guidance of Mr. Gajdoš, a dedicated volunteer from the Slovak Red Cross.

In behalf of EISB, we would like to express our gratitude to the Slovak Red Cross for this collaboration. Our holistic approach to education embraces these types of events, which help students prepare for real-world situations.

Francisco José Martínez Navarro

Hi everyone! I am Francisco Martinez. I was born in a village called Corral de Almaguer, Spain (probably the place which Cervantes mentioned at the beginning of his famous book “El Quijote”). I grew up surrounded by my family and friends, always with a football on my feet. I graduated with a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Cognitive Neuroscience. On top of that, I studied Postgraduate to teach Spanish as a Foreign Language. At EISB, I hold the roles of Physical Education and Spanish Teacher, as well as Foreign Languages Coordinator. I have lived in Madrid (Spain), Chicago (USA), Dublin (Ireland) and, currently, Bratislava (Slovakia). I love reading about History, my favorite band is Coldplay and one dream to come true is to live in Finland.
