“Adopt an element”
The Task
Our MYP1 learners were assigned the following task.
You are an entrepreneur. You have a company that has the know-how to mine and/or chemically produce the element you picked. To increase your profits, you start an advertisement campaign to persuade businesses to buy your element. The advertisement must include:
– The element’s name
– The element’s symbol
– The atomic number
– The atomic mass
– The cost
– An advertisement slogan to market your element. The slogan must be relevant to the uses of your element.
