More than just a story!
A great book offers us so much more than just a captivating tale. During our Slovak language lessons, our young learners recently finished reading the book Ježko Jožko nechce jesť by Andrea Reitmayerová.
Our main character gave us a wonderful opportunity to dive into the topic of healthy eating. Through hands-on activities, the children practiced their fine motor skills by using various materials to craft hedgehog quills and healthy food baskets.
Jožko’s story also provided a great space to develop presentation skills through short performances. Additionally, we used key vocabulary from the book to practice dividing words into syllables and identifying individual sounds.
As you can see, a single story can unlock endless learning opportunities!
We invite you to take a look at our project gallery below to celebrate the fantastic work of our talented students.
Every story has so much to teach us!
