Year 7 Students Become Sports Event Organisers! πŸ†

Spread the love

Our Year 7 students recently stepped into the role of sports event organisers as they presented their own sports event projects!

As part of their PE learning, students were challenged to think beyond playing sports and explore what it takes to plan, organise and successfully deliver a sporting event.

Working individually or in teams, they developed their ideas and presented how they would bring their events to life. From setting clear goals and creating SMART objectives to dividing responsibilities, planning tasks and deadlines, preparing budgets and identifying potential risks, students explored the many steps involved in organising a successful event.

Throughout the presentations, students demonstrated creativity, teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills. They had to think like real organisers, make decisions, consider available resources and find solutions to possible challenges.

The project was not just about creating a presentation. It was about learning how to turn an idea into action, take responsibility and understand how much planning happens behind every successful sports event 🌟

We were impressed by the students’ ideas, enthusiasm and willingness to take on the challenge!

A moment to reflect:

What was the biggest challenge when planning your sports event, and what did you learn about teamwork, responsibility and turning an idea into reality?

Well done, Year 7! I look forward to seeing how you continue to develop these skills in future projects! πŸ’ͺ πŸ’ͺ🏽
