Don’t Just Hear About EISB Education. Come Experience It!
EISB Primary Open Day | Thursday, 22 October 2026 0900-1100
What does learning really look like?
Not just what students are taught, but what they understand. What they can create. How they think, communicate, solve problems, and apply what they’ve learned.
At the English International School of Bratislava, we believe the best people to demonstrate the results of our education are the students themselves.
That’s why our Primary Open Day is a little different.
We invite families, friends, and the wider Bratislava community to experience EISB education through the achievements of our students.
Our Students Take the Lead
Rather than simply telling visitors about our curriculum, teaching philosoph
y, or educational approach, we invite you to see the results in action.
Throughout the Open Day, our Primary students will share their learning through exhibitions, presentations, demonstrations, and examples of their work.

It’s an opportunity to discover not only what students have learned, but what they can do with what they’ve learned.
And sometimes, the most interesting part isn’t the final product. It’s hearing a young learner explain their thinking, answer an unexpected question, or proudly share something they’ve worked hard to accomplish.
Learning You Can See, Hear, and Experience
Our previous exhibitions have brought learning to life in some wonderful ways.
Our younger students have designed and created their own soft toys while exploring emotions, creativity, and collaboration. They’ve shared not just their finished creations, but the learning and
decisions behind them.
Older Primary students have demonstrated their communication and reasoning skills through live debates, exploring real-world challenges, developing arguments, considering different perspectives, and defending their ideas—even in Slovak language classes.
See our Year 6 Slovak Language Debate Exhibition.
Previous Open Days have also featured original poetry, scientific investigations, environmental projects, advocacy campaigns, and interactive presentations from our youngest learners.

Different ages. Different subjects. Different achievements.
But a common purpose: Students learning to use what they know.
Teaching Towards Tomorrow
At EISB, our educational philosophy is built around developing skills that students will carry with them long after they leave school.
Knowledge matters. But so does the ability to question, reason, communicate, collaborate, create, and take responsibility for one’s own learning.
Our exhibitions are part of that process.
When students prepare to share their learning with an audience, they must organize their thinking, communicate their understanding, respond to questions, and take ownership of their work.
They’re not simply displaying what they’ve done.
They’re practising what it means to become capable, independent learners.
And our visitors get to see that development firsthand.
An Open Invitation to Bratislava
You don’t need to have a child enrolled at EISB to join us.
Perhaps you’re a parent exploring educational opportunities for your family. Perhaps you’re a friend, neighbor, educator, or simply someone interested in how children learn.
You’re welcome.
Come meet our students, see their work, talk with our teachers, and experience the learning environment we’re building together.
And if you’re already part of our EISB family, we hope you’ll join us in celebrating what our young learners have achieved.
Part of EISB Spirit Week 2026
Our Primary Open Day takes place during EISB Spirit Week, a schoolwide celebration of creativity, participation, achievement, and community.
And the celebrations continue on Friday evening, October 23, with our inaugural EISB Homecoming Game—another opportunity for families, friends, alumni, and the wider Bratislava community to come together.

We’re proud of our students and what they’re accomplishing. But we’d much rather have them show you than simply tell you ourselves.
Come experience EISB education. Our students will take it from there!
