Active Learning in Our Spanish Classroom
Our Spanish learning journey has had a fresh and exciting start!
Over the past weeks, we have been revisiting key foundations of the language through interactive activities, games, and speaking practice. This has helped students build confidence, strengthen their pronunciation, and feel more comfortable using Spanish in class.
Now that these core skills are becoming more secure, we are moving forward into new and engaging topics. Recently, we began exploring fruits, where students are learning to recognize and name different fruits in Spanish, as well as describe their colors.
To make learning meaningful and fun, students participated in a hands-on tasting activity, where they practiced asking and answering questions such as “What do you have?” – “I have…” while identifying fruits. We also reinforced vocabulary through quizzes, memory games, and creative worksheets.
Looking ahead, students will take part in a class survey, where they will ask their classmates about their favorite fruits in Spanish. This will further develop their speaking skills and confidence in real-life communication.
It has been wonderful to see their enthusiasm, and we look forward to continuing this journey together!
