I&S students got creative with Greek mythology by making up their own gods and goddesses. They gave each one a unique name and symbol, then wrote stories about them. Using the strengths and weaknesses of ancient gods as inspiration, they came up with some really imaginative tales.

๐™๐™š๐™ฆ๐™ช๐™ž๐™ง๐™š๐™ข๐™š๐™ฃ๐™ฉ๐™จ:
  • Your god or goddess must have a name (Greek or Roman)
  • Your god or goddess must have a symbol (example: Zeus has a thunderbolt)
  • Your god or goddess must have an original myth/story about him or her.
  • Include detail and elaboration
  • Clear organization and storyline
  • Use a least 5 adjectives to describe your Greek god or goddess

The project had three main parts. First, students wrote their myth story, where they created a god or goddess, explained their powers, and built a short narrative with a problem and resolution. Second, they made a drawing or visual of their deity, including symbols that represented their power. Third, they used AI tools to enhance their work, improving their descriptions, ideas, or presentation.

At the beginning, they came up with original names that sounded Greek. Then they chose one domain, like dreams, fire, or luck, and explained why it mattered. This helped them see how people in the past used gods to explain things they didnโ€™t fully understand.

After that, they created symbols for their god or goddess and wrote a short description. They used adjectives to describe personality and appearance, and also included strengths and flaws. This was important because Greek gods were not perfect, they acted a lot like humans.

Finally, they wrote their myth story. In their stories, their god or goddess used their power, interacted with humans or other gods, and faced some kind of problem. Most myths explained something about the world, like why something happens or why people behave in a certain way.

Overall, the project showed good creativity and helped students understand how myths were structured and why they were important in ancient Greece.
