The Great Mole Cake Mystery
It all started on a sunny spring afternoon, when the Environmental Club decided to celebrate the season with a very unusual recipe: The Mole’s Cake.
Now, before you imagine us baking an actual mole (yikes!), let’s be clear. This cake got its name because it looks like a molehill – dark, crumbly, and mysterious. Perfect for spring and for little mole chefs like us!
First, we crumbled cookies so dark and rich they looked just like fresh soil. Then we added melted butter, and everyone suddenly became professional “soil engineers,” kneading and squishing with delight. Some dough might have accidentally ended up in a few mouths – for quality control, of course:)))).
Next came the bananas. Some kids cut bananas lengthwise like long mole tunnels, others made thick circles, and a few shaped theirs like little banana barrels. The cream mixture—made with mascarpone, cottage cheese, whipped cream, and a few spoons of powder sugar. Then came the final step: we sprinkled the rest of the cookie crumbs on top to make the cake look like a mole had just finished digging his new spring home. It was adorable and a little bit messy—like all good mole homes should be. Since the cake needed to chill in the fridge, the children proudly took their little molehills home in cake tins.
Later, our parents reported that the cakes were a huge success. Some said the cake disappeared faster than a mole in the garden. One dad even asked for the recipe—Yes!
And so, the Great Mole Cake Mystery was solved:
No actual moles were harmed.
Yes, the cake was delicious.
And most importantly, we all had a blast getting messy, giggly, and just a little bit chocolatey.
