Celebrating International Women’s Day
International Women’s Day, celebrated on March 8th, is a special day to recognize the achievements of women and their important role in society. It started over 100 years ago when women fought for equal rights, fair pay, and better working conditions. Over time, their efforts helped bring positive changes, and today, we celebrate women’s strength, hard work, and contributions to the world.
On this day, it is common to give women flowers to show appreciation. In our environmental club, we watched a video about the history of this day and how women’s position in society has changed. To honor our mothers, we created portraits of them standing in a meadow full of flowers. This artwork represents how special all moms are and everything they do for us.
International Women’s Day is a time to say thank you to the amazing women in our lives and to remember that their efforts should always be recognized and appreciated.
