Year 11th students know how to have an active rest
Yesterday, September 7, the Year 11th students organized a bike ride. The meeting place was set under the Stary Most in Bratislava at 10 am. The students arrived on their own or with their parents. While we were waiting for everyone, we had a unique opportunity to ride different types of bikes. It was fun.
At 10:30 am we started our journey to Pri poldri. The bike route went along the Danube. This journey took us about an hour. And although the morning was cloudy and the sun was not very hot, we were all sweating.
Therefore, the cafe at the end of this route was pleasantly anticipated. Here someone bought ice cream, someone bought drinks. We rested a little, took pictures and went swimming in Lake Rusovske. Here.
The weather was wonderful, the water temperature in the lake was 26 degrees Celsius. The cool water pleasantly refreshed our sweaty bodies. We, a group: Adela, Sasha, Adrina, Sviatoslav, Rado, Imre, Viktor, Peter, Yan, my husband and I decided to swim across the lake there and back (and that’s 720 meters!). All the guys turned out to be good swimmers. We dove, raced, demonstrated different swimming styles…. It was not just GOOD, it was GREAT! On the way back, we decided to jump into the water from a tree. The place was proven: without snags on the bottom and deep enough, and the height was only 2-3 meters. Our fearless swimmers, all without exception, and even me, jumped into the water with laughter and excitement. Here. Here.
It was already 2 o’clock in the afternoon when we went to the nearest village with the same name as the lake for lunch. Everyone chose something tasty from the menu.
It was time to go back. The way home was faster as always. At 16:30 we were already under the Old Bridge again. In total, we cycled 30 km that day plus the way from home and to home. When I asked the guys: How was it? They said: – It was great! – It was the best trip! – We had a great time!
