A trip to the theatre

On June 17th, 2024, I had the opportunity to take my students to a local theater production of William Shakespeare at Frantiskanske namestie.  The excitement was palpable as we entered the quite small venue, with its setup of the stage. The students, some of whom had never experienced live theater before, were in awe as they took their seats. From the moment the lights dimmed and the actors took the stage, the magic of Shakespeare’s timeless comedy unfolded before our eyes. The actors’ vibrant performances and the clever use of modern elements in the set design brought the world of Athens and its enchanted forest to life, captivating everyone in the audience.

After the final curtain call, we had a chance to meet the three actors, which further deepened the students’ appreciation for the art of theater. It was a memorable outing that I hope will inspire them to explore more of Shakespeare’s masterpieces and other cultural experiences in the future.
