Year 7 – Science Labs

This week,  our Year 7 Science students participated on an exciting hands-on experiment to explore the concepts of mass, volume, and density.

The students used a variety of measuring instruments to determine the mass and volume of different objects. They then applied the triangle rule and the appropriate formula to calculate the density of each item.

It was wonderful to see the students fully engaged and enthusiastic throughout the activity. They not only gained practical experience with laboratory equipment but also developed a deeper understanding of these fundamental scientific concepts through direct experimentation.

Equally important was the collaborative aspect of the lesson. Students worked together, discussing their methods and sharing observations, which can enhance their learning experience and strengthened their teamwork skills.

Hands-on experiments like this one allow students to connect theory with practice, turning abstract scientific ideas into tangible discoveries. It was a memorable session that sparked curiosity and encouraged scientific thinking.

We are proud of the effort and enthusiasm shown by all our Year 7 scientists!
