ʏᴇᴀʀ 7 ꜱᴘᴀɴɪꜱʜ – Hablando sobre mi Héroe
MI HÉROE
Students worked towards a final product: the creation and presentation of a personal hero icon in Spanish. Language learning was embedded in a purposeful task with a clear outcome.
The project began with the choice of a hero icon. Students made choices about colors, clothing, symbols, and accessories to represent meaning. This stage supported vocabulary acquisition and prepared them for later written and oral work.
Students then produced a short written description (4–5 sentences) using targeted grammar structures:
- ser (character and personality)
- tener (physical description)
- llevar (clothing and accessories)
The focus was on accurate sentence formation, adjective agreement, and correct use of the present tense.
Scaffolding was provided, but students were expected to apply structures independently.
The final stage was an oral presentation. Students used a structured script to present their hero clearly and confidently. Emphasis was placed on pronunciation, sentence control, and fluency at their level.
Through this process, students combined creativity with structured language development. The task allowed them to apply vocabulary and grammar in context while working toward a concrete final product.
