🌟 Diwali Celebration at EISB – A Glimpse of Light and Culture 🌟

As part of our Culture Week, the English International School of Bratislava (EISB) celebrated Diwali, one of the most cherished international festivals that brings people together across the world. Known as the Festival of Lights, Diwali symbolises the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil.

The school was beautifully decorated with colourful diyas (lamps), lanterns, mehndi cones, and idols of gods and goddesses, all illuminated with sparkling lights that created a warm and festive atmosphere. A short presentation on screen introduced students to the cultural and historical significance of Diwali, highlighting how it is celebrated in different parts of India and beyond.

The celebration continued with a delicious traditional meal, featuring Indian snacks and sweet dishes, giving everyone a taste of authentic festive flavours. The joyful energy, curiosity, and cultural exchange throughout the event reflected the true spirit of international understanding that EISB values.

Through this celebration, students experienced how festivals like Diwali connect communities globally and remind us of the importance of kindness, unity, and positivity.
