PSPE Final of the Year Field Trip 2025

In June, the Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 students celebrated the end of the school year with a special field trip to Medická záhrada, a beautiful green park in the heart of Bratislava.

During the trip, the children took part in outdoor games, explored nature, and enjoyed fun and meaningful moments with their classmates and teachers. They also had a healthy snack, reinforcing the importance of good nutrition as part of their overall development.

This field trip was a wonderful way to close a school year in which students not only developed basic physical skills appropriate to their age, but also learned to play as a team, overcome challenges, and understand the value of both winning and losing. Through games and shared experiences, they reflected on important ethical values such as respect, empathy, and honesty.

The outing was more than just a celebration – it was also a chance to put into practice key attributes of the IB PYP Learner Profile, including being active, balanced, and caring. Through play and cooperation, the students showed responsibility, respect, and joy in learning together.

Francisco José Martínez Navarro

Hi everyone! I am Francisco Martinez. I was born in a village called Corral de Almaguer, Spain (probably the place which Cervantes mentioned at the beginning of his famous book “El Quijote”). I grew up surrounded by my family and friends, always with a football on my feet. I graduated with a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Cognitive Neuroscience. On top of that, I studied Postgraduate to teach Spanish as a Foreign Language. At EISB, I hold the roles of Physical Education and Spanish Teacher, as well as Foreign Languages Coordinator. I have lived in Madrid (Spain), Chicago (USA), Dublin (Ireland) and, currently, Bratislava (Slovakia). I love reading about History, my favorite band is Coldplay and one dream to come true is to live in Finland.
