International Youth Summit (Sept. 20th)
Dear EISB Community,
I would like to share a unique opportunity for our EISB Academy Students! Academy Students can now join the “Your Voice, Your Future” International Youth Summit, to be held virtually (via Zoom) on 20 September, 2024.
The International Baccalaureate (IB), through Festival of Hope, in collaboration with United Nations International School (UNIS), will be hosting the “Your Voice, Your Future” International Youth Summit. This youth-led initiative by students at UNIS is aligned with the UN Summit of the Future.
What can you expect?
“The IB has over 6000 schools in 152 countries educating 2 million young people from the ages of 3-19.
Our Director General, Olli-Pekka Heinonen, the former Minister of Education for Finland, believes that the time is now to start a global dialogue amongst leaders and youth to explore opportunities to solve some of our greatest challenges together. For the past 2.5 years we have been working to bring together a community of young people, educators, artists, government leaders and global thinkers who feel the urge to be the change through our Festival of Hope.
The purpose of this summit is to encourage dialogue around ‘meaningful youth engagement’ concerning global issues.
The Summit will feature amazing Youth Speakers, Hands-on Workshops, a Global Lounge and an opportunity to network with over 1000+ IB students and youth around the world.
The summit will also include opportunities to engage asynchronously. If you can’t make it during the synchronous times and are still interested, please still register.”

This would be a great opportunity for students to engage in dialogue around global issues, not to mention it looks great on a CV when applying to universities!
