Teaching skills & developing a sense of community

Our MYP4 students Nataša and Šarlotta had the opportunity to share one of their favorite topics with Mr. Eley’s class.

Their task that day wasn’t just about teaching; it was about bringing the school community together. They had to plan and run a 20-minute lesson for Year 6 students.

THE PLAN:

The students stepped in, thinking about how to make the lesson interesting for the younger kids.

They weren’t just focused on what to teach; they were also thinking about how to get everyone working together and talking well.

From coming up with fun activities to figuring out fair ways to check what the kids had learned.

By working together, the students saw how they could make the school a friendly, connected place where learning was exciting for everyone.

And of course, the respective reflection :)

Special thanks to Mr. Eley and his class
