Year 2 Explores Animals and Food Chains at Bratislava Zoo
Recently, the Year 2 students went on a fun trip to Bratislava Zoo. They’ve been learning about animals and how they eat. This trip was a hands-on way to finish their “How the World Works” unit.
We wandered around the zoo, excited to see the animals they’ve been talking about in class. They looked for animals like lions, zebras, and monkeys, and talked about how they find food and survive in the wild.
One of the coolest things they saw was how animals eat each other in nature. They learned that this is called a food chain, where one animal eats another, and so on. It showed them how everything in nature is connected.
Throughout the day, they chatted with each other and their teachers about what they saw. They asked questions about where the animals live and why they eat certain foods.
By the end of the day, the students left the zoo feeling like real experts. They learned a lot about animals and how they live. This trip wasn’t just fun; it helped them understand how important it is to take care of our planet and all the creatures that call it home.
