βΒ The Mark of Athena
I&S students explored Greek mythology by making their own gods and goddesses. They gave each one a special name and symbol, then wrote stories about them. Using the strengths and weaknesses of old gods as a guide, they got really creative with their tales.
The task
Requirements:
- Your god or goddess must have a name (Greek or Roman)
- Your god or goddess must have a symbol (example: Zeus has a thunderbolt)
- Your god or goddess must have an original myth/story about him or her.
- Include detail and elaboration
- Clear organization and storyline
- Use a least 5 adjectives to describe your Greek god or goddess
Following clear rules, they made their stories detailed and interesting. With the help of AI, they made their creations even cooler, adding extra details.
This project helped students practice writing stories while having fun with ancient myths.
