Curling is Fun!
Ever tried curling? Neither had any of our Year 4, 5 or 6 students until just a couple months ago. Now they are thoroughly enjoying this “cool” sport, and it turns out that the only full-size curling rink in Slovakia is less than a 10-minute bus ride from our school!
Our students have had a great time on Tuesday afternoons learning the basic skills and strategies of this chilly, 500+ year-old sport from members of Slovakia’s Junior Curling Team. Several students have even asked about taking more classes or joining a team at the rink. So, who knows? Maybe one day you will see one of current EISB students representing Slovakia at the Olympics!
