What Does PE Mean to Me? – Year 3 Project

Spread the love

In  Year 3 PE lessons, students recently received a simple but meaningful task: to write or draw what physical education means to them. This activity was designed not just as a creative exercise, but as a way to better understand how children see movement, teamwork, and their own experiences in PE.

At this age, children are developing their confidence, communication, and sense of belonging. By giving them the opportunity to express their thoughts through words or drawings, we encourage reflection and give every child a voice — including those who may find it easier to express themselves visually rather than verbally.

The main goal of this task is to help us build a stronger team. When students think about what PE means to them, they begin to recognise the importance of cooperation, respect, and supporting one another. These are the same skills that help them not only in sports, but in everyday life.

Physical Education is much more than just running, jumping, or playing games. It plays a key role in developing healthy habits, resilience, discipline, and social skills. Through PE, children learn how to handle both success and challenges, how to work as part of a group, and how to stay active in a positive way.

We are proud of our students for their effort and creativity, and we look forward to sharing their work. Below, you will also find photos from our PE lessons, capturing teamwork, energy, and the joy of movement in action.

Thank you for your continued support!
